About & contact

My art interests are truly "mixed".
I run a pottery studio in Buckinghamshire (United Kingdom), with two other friends. The studio is called 3 MAD potters and we produce functional and sculptural pieces in both stoneware and earthenware. We are fortunate enough to have our own studio, kiln and space for workshops and demonstration!
Ceramic is relaxing, rewarding, muddy, earthy, and the process of transforming clay in a fixed object is just magical. I particular enjoy throwing on the wheel, despite it is still a steep learning curve!
I also enjoy applying techniques typical of the"paper art" (such as stamps, journaling, layering etc) to ceramic, to gain new and interesting effects.
In parallel to ceramic, I enjoy paper art, journaling, inking, mono-printing with Gelli plate,  up-cycling with Decopatch, creating tags, distressing paper, cutting with Cameo, embossing with Vagabond etc. The main purpose of this blog would be to keep track of my work in this area, despite I can see some "contamination" from my work in clay.
Finally, recently, I purchased an used Adana 8 x 5 letterpress. That is an entire word in its own right! It is great fun to compose words in lead, and print them on a variety of papers! Letterpress well complement my paper art activities!!!
I hope you will enjoy my work. I would love to hear your comments!!!
